Arc’teryx unveils Alpha Store concept in Toronto
Canadian company Arc’teryx has introduced a new Alpha Store format on Toronto’s Bloor Street West, set to be followed by a U.S. debut in Manhattan later this summer.
The flagship Toronto store, spanning 10,000 square feet, signifies a departure from the brand’s conventional store size, aiming to introduce new elements integral to Alpha Store centers across North America.
Central to the Alpha Store concept is Arc’teryx’s commitment to sustainability through its expanded ReBird Service Centers, which offer product care, repair, resale, and upcycling services.
Notably, the expanded ReBird Service Centers, three times larger than usual, boast a 65 percent increase in repair capacity onsite, with a five-day turnaround time and a 95 percent resolution rate for all product care needs.
As part of the ReBird Service Centers, customers can trade in used items for a gift card equivalent to a significant portion of the original value, promoting a circular economy and offering consumers access to vintage pieces.
Looking ahead, the forthcoming New York City location opening at 580 Broadway will feature a full ReBird Service Center, along with innovative ReGear services, and a coffee shop, enhancing the store’s role as a community gathering space.
The brand equally operates more than 2,400 retail locations worldwide, including more than 130 branded stores.
