In addition to his role as CTO, Sachdev will lead product development for the Aptos business unit, reporting to Aptos general manager Jeremy Grunzweig. In this position, the tech professional will oversee all aspects of core engineering, with a focus on delivering the highest-quality software products at the accelerated pace the retail market demands.

Sachdev joins Aptos from Kore, where he served as CTO and executive vice president, analytics. Before Kore, he was chief information officer at PRGX Global, after stints at Infosys, Mastek and NIIT, with each of these roles contributing to his proficiency in digital transformation and next-generation technologies.

“With nearly 30 years of technology experience, Tushar’s engineering depth, expertise in enterprise SaaS and proven abilities in leading global teams at high-growth software companies make him a strategic addition to Aptos,” said Sinisgalli. “Throughout his career, Tushar has helped organizations deliver transformational products built on modern architectures. We look forward to Tushar’s impact on our technical direction, with an emphasis on customer-centric development and shared innovation across our business units.”

The appointment comes at a time when Aptos, LS Retail and Revionics are all taking share in their respective markets, as demand for unified commerce and price optimization software increases, said the U.S. company. Of note, the team launched a new unified commerce platform, Aptos One that capitalizes on microservices, APIs and cloud-native SaaS.

“The excitement around the Aptos business is palpable,” Sachdev noted. “I have tremendous respect for an organization that has been leading in a product area for many years — in Aptos’ case, point of sale and omnichannel — and decides to chart a path harnessing new architectures and methods of delivery. I’ll always be a technologist at heart, so I feel energized to support the transformation journey Aptos is on.”

Earlier this year, upscale London department store Liberty renewed its partnership with the unified commerce solutions provider to improve store technology and customer experience.
