Best Activewear for Women | Who What Wear

Welcome to Before I Head Out, a series in which fashion editor Anneliese Henderson rounds up the snaps she’s taken of her favorite outfits before heading out the door of her Los Angeles home.

After settling in to my new home in Los Angeles, I’m finally getting my routine in order. Surprisingly, it’s harder than I thought it would be! But I’ve found that I can count on a good workout to start my day on the right foot. And the effect that a good outfit has on your workout should be studied in school. You might get endorphins from sweat, but I get them from looking in the Barre studio mirror and seeing my cute set. Keep scrolling to see the looks I’ve been pulling from my drawers for everything from Pilates class to hot girl walks around my new neighborhood.

Spiritual Gangster Leggings

I took a risk with this red shade, but I couldn’t love it more. While I usually stick to black and white, this set brings me so much joy. I love Spiritual Gangster’s ribbed fabric—it’s buttery soft and has just the right amount of stretch.

ALO Shorts Set

ALO never fails with its sets, and this one is no exception. This is the perfect set to wear for hot yoga when leggings just won’t let you air out like you need to. This olive color is selling out quickly, but you can scoop up the white version (my other favorite) right now.

Free People Tennis Dress

My new neighborhood is right by tennis courts, so my husband and I have already been booking matches against each other. This is a true tennis dress—it has shorts underneath and everything—but you could definitely wear it for so many other activities.

Sporty & Rich Unitard

When I’m walking to get coffee in my hood, I like to look my cutest. In this part of town, you never know who you’ll run into. I love this Sporty & Rich unitard because while it’s technically a workout piece, I could throw on a white button-down and wear it to run errands.
