Futurmoda, the international trade fair for leather and components for footwear and leather goods, has announced the dates for its 52nd edition: it will take place on October 16 and 17 at the Institución Ferial Alicantina (IFA), also known as Fira Alacant, in Elche.

This upcoming edition of the fair is themed ‘Futurmoda: Connecting with the World of Fashion’, emphasizing its commitment to internationalization and fostering connections within the industry.

Futurmoda has also unveiled a new visual identity, featuring a vibrant color palette and contemporary typography to reflect the energy and innovation that define the event.

Organized in collaboration with the Spanish Association of Components and Machinery for Footwear (AEC), each edition of Futurmoda focuses on international development, innovation, and connecting industry stakeholders. It also aims to highlight sustainability and eco-design, according to Álvaro Sánchez, AEC’s general manager.

The next Futurmoda will again include the Green Planet area, dedicated to initiatives promoting environmental care in the footwear industry. The first 2024 edition of Futurmoda was held on March 13 and 14, attracting over 5,000 visitors and featuring 230 exhibitors representing 326 brands, with 30% being international companies from countries like Germany, Algeria, Argentina, and Turkey
