Hermès opens new boutique in Bahrain’s Marassi Galleria
Luxury fashion house Hermès announced on Tuesday the opening of a new store in Bahrain, in the Marassi Galleria.
Hermès’ latest boutique, designed by the Parisian architecture agency RDAI, seamlessly integrates its iconic design with the characteristics of the new waterfront shopping destination, against the country’s surrounding desert.
Notably, the store’s facade, reminiscent of a stone massif, features textured surfaces and sculptural curves. Upon entering the store, guests are greeted by a spacious interior adorned in sandy hues and tactile finishes, showcasing women’s silk, with a display for fashion jewellery and men’s silk on one side and the perfume and beauty universe on the other.
The central salon, crowned by a soaring domed ceiling and accented with deep blue-green wallpaper, serves as the heart of the store, housing Hermès’ jewelry, watches, and home accessories. Further along the path, the salon is divided into the men’s and women’s universes, with leather goods at its heart.
From the flooring adorned in milky blue and beige terrazzo tiles to the wave-inspired motifs adorning the carpets, every detail continues to reflect sand and water.
Completing the space are art pieces of equine silhouettes and naturalist illustrations including a series of sketches as well as paintings by artist Horace Vernet, from the Émile Hermès collection. For the store opening, artist Faissal El-Malak’s artwork, ‘When the Guard Crosses the Street at Night’, also adorns the windows.
The opening marks Hermès’ sixth store in the Middle East, solidifying its presence in the region.
