Jen Psaki Blasts ‘Right-Wing Ecosystem’ For Comparing Her To Ronna McDaniel: ‘This Is About Truth Vs. Lies’
When MSNBC recently announced it had hired former Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel, it did what it always does: Hire Republicans antagonistic to Donald Trump to trash him on their airwaves.
But this wasnât good enough for some NBC personalities. Chuck Todd trashed the decision to hire her. So did âMorning Joeâ Scarborough.
So did former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki, whose hiring McDanielâs was compared to, as far as a recent member of a presidential administration crossing over into punditry.
McDaniel was eventually fired. Psaki said it was a matter of herself telling âtruthâ vs. McDaniel telling âlies.â
Weâre not kidding.

Jen Psaki Says Ronna Put âDemocracy at Riskâ
Mediate reported, âJen Psaki dismissed critics who compared the hiring of ex-RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel at NBC to her own, accusing McDaniel of putting âdemocracy at riskâ with her efforts surrounding the 2020 presidential election.â
Reminder: Psaki â to this very day â continues to push the conspiracy theory that Donald Trump colluded with Russia to win the 2016 election even though that was completely disproved by the Mueller Report.
The story continued:
On her MSNBC show on Monday evening, Psaki took a few moments to address voices in the âright wing ecosystemâ defending McDanielâs hiring by pointing to Psakiâs hiringâŠ
âYou may have seen some news over the last few days about the hiring of former RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel as an NBC News contributor, and some, mainly in the right-wing ecosystem, have made the comparison to others who have come from government or politics into the media, including me, and that is a comparison I felt like I had to address,â Psaki told her audience.
She recalled getting into campaign work under Barack Obama in her early â20s and drew a distinction between her service in government with Democrats to McDanielâs work with the Republican Party.
âI was in the room for tough debates, for difficult decisions, for the messy and at times incredibly grueling process of governing, and that experience is something that I am extremely proud to bring to this table and to this network,â she said. âThere are many others who have followed a similar path⊠but hereâs the thing, that kind of experience only matters and only has value to viewers, all of you, if it is paired with honesty and with good faith.â
Psaki is a Conspiracy Theorist
Jen Psaki, like many Democrats, continues to suggest that the 2016 presidential election was stolen because Russia and its president, Vladimir Putin, helped win it for Donald Trump. Some way. Somehow.
But this kind of misinformation is produced all the time on MSNBC. No one checks it. No one cares. They all pretty much believe it.
Ronna McDaniel is the niece of Mitt Romney and would have been yet another Bush-Cheney-era, neoconservative Republican spouting all sorts of anti-Trump nonsense on their channel.
But even that was a bridge too far for what is essentially a state media channel for the Democratic Party.
