La Mer names first-ever male ambassador
La Mer has named Taiwanese singer Jay Chou as its first-ever male ambassador.
Chou will promote the Estée Lauder Companies-owned skin care brand’s The Treatment Lotion and The Hydrating Infused Emulsion products in his first campaign.
This will be the 45-year-old’s first beauty partnership, after having fronted fashion house Dior as a global ambassador in 2023.
“La Mer’s skin philosophy really resonates with me,” said Chou.
“I believe that youth is not fleeting; it’s timeless. With La Mer, the youthful energy of skin care can be recharged.
“I am so excited to partner with La Mer and celebrate the brand’s belief that self care is for everyone.”
In 2000, Chou released his debut album, ‘Jay’. Since then, has gone on to become one of Taiwan’s most popular artists, selling more than 30 million records.
Chou joins Malaysian actress Michelle Yeoh, South Korean actress Jun Ji-hyun and Cuban-Spanish actress Ana de Armas as an ambassador for La Mer.
“Jay Chou brings an incredible dynamic energy to La Mer. With his highly active career and a youthful approach to skincare, we are excited that our partnership with Jay will help to inspire a new generation to embrace the power of self-care and confidence,” said La Mer brand president Sandra Main.
Chou’s appointment at Le Mer comes after Estée Lauder named singer IU as its first Korean global ambassador.
