Lanvin launches fashion-meets-dance campaign via Benjamin Millepied collab

Lanvin has unveiled its latest project, a collaboration with French choreographer and dancer Benjamin Millepied, blending commercial product with art.

The short film is currently airing on the brand’s webstore and through its social media channels with the dress and shoes worn by the dancer available to purchase.

Millepied is known for his fusion of classical ballet and contemporary dance, and he’s now “crafted an elegant and sophisticated dance performance that captures the symbiotic relationship between fashion and dance” in his link-up with the brand.

Dancer Coline Omasson “embodies the quintessential Lanvin woman in the film”, draped in the label’s signature Charmeuse dress and famous Ballerina shoes.

“French elegance, refinement and creativity are on display in the freedom of her body in movement. In the dance, she becomes one with the music, the movement, the dresses. Her inner life, her freedom of expression, are expressed in a fleeting, ephemeral moment of grace,” he said.

It continues label founder Jeanne Lanvin’s connection to music, embodied through her daughter’s work as a virtuoso musician, and “also reflects the seamless fusion of creativity and expression that defines both the Maison and Millepied’s innovative approach to dance”.
