L’Occitane Group chooses Evelyne Ly-Wainer, formerly at Shiseido, to head up its global travel retail business
Cosmetics group L’Occitane, whose portfolio includes brands such as L’Occitane en Provence, Melvita and Sol de Janeiro, has appointed Evelyne Ly-Wainer as Managing Director of Global Travel Retail.
Previously, Evelyne Ly-Wainer worked for Japanese cosmetics group Shiseido as travel retail sales director for the Asia-Pacific region. Before joining Shiseido in 2016, Evelyne Ly-Wainer worked for thirteen years at L’Oréal.
From 2015 to 2016, she was Managing Director of the Kiehl’s and Biotherm brands in Singapore. Last April, the L’Occitane group appointed Green Yip, formerly of Estee Lauder, as travel retail director for the Asia-Pacific region.
The L’Occitane cosmetics group, which is preparing to delist from the Hong Kong Stock Exchange where it has been listed since 2010, posted sales of €1.9 billion, up 18.9% (+24.8% at constant exchange rates), in the first nine months of its 2023/24 financial year ended December 3, 2023.
