Louis Vuitton appoints Megan Grant new Americas head
Louis Vuitton has appointed Megan Grant to the role of president and chief executive officer of Americas, effective June 3.
Grant will report to David Ponzo, executive vice president of commercial activities, according to a memo cited by WWD, and will be based in New York. She will be responsible for leading and developing the Americas teams to drive performance, further elevate client experiences and grow brand desirability in the Americas, according to the memo.
She succeeds Lanessa Elrod, who served as zone president, Americas, for the brand for seven years.Â
A luxury beauty veteran, Grant joins the French fashion house from fellow French firm LâOrĂ©al, where she helmed the cosmetic giant’s luxe division in the U.S.
Prior to this, the executive has held previous leadership roles at LancĂŽme, Kiehlâs, Ralph Lauren Fragrances and Giorgio Armaniâs beauty business, among others.
âThroughout her 22-year tenure with LâOrĂ©al, she held numerous leadership roles in marketing and retail across a multitude of brands within the organization, showcasing her exceptional skills in marketing, retail, customer acquisition, digital strategy and consumer products,â the memo stated.
âMeganâs diverse background, paired with her shared values of innovation and excellence, will ensure the continued advancement of Louis Vuitton Americas.â
LâOrĂ©alâs U.S. division revealed in April Grantâs departure, with the appointment of Silvia Galfo to the role of president of the luxe division.
