Reviewed: Limitless Eau de Parfum by Jennifer Lopez
Any time I hear the words Jennifer Lopez and fragrance in the same sentence, I get extremely nostalgic. Some of my earliest scent memories involve tearing samples of J.Lo’s hit perfumes like Glow and Deseo out of magazines, and I like to think I’m a better beauty editor today because of it. (It’s important to know the classics.)
I’m also happy to report that my love for Lopez’s perfumes is alive and well today. As a now full-fledged adult, I still get excited when Lopez drops a new fragrance because I know it’s going to be good. Her latest release, Limitless Eau de Parfum ($72), didn’t disappoint, either. I got my hands on it a little before launch, and let me tell you, it’s a delight for the senses. For all my thoughts, take a peek below.

Limitless Eau de Parfum
Key notes: Red apple, lemon oil, black pepper, jasmine absolute, ylang ylang, patchouli oil, palo santo, vanilla bean, velvety musk
For starters, this perfume definitely isn’t light. It’s headier with notes of jasmine, patchouli oil, and palo santo, so keep that in mind. If you do love a scent that leaves a lasting impression, though, this one is for you. The combination of notes here makes it a cohesive fit with the rest of J.Lo’s scents, but it’s still unique.
Usually, I tend to gravitate toward gourmand and fruity scents, but this one feels somewhere in between the two categories. While it has some notes that are really juicy like red apple and lemon oil, it’s balanced out by musky, earthier notes. It’s unexpected and definitely noticeable. I wore this one out a few times to dinners and events, and every time I did, someone asked what I was wearing.
I have a couple perfumes in my arsenal that never fail to earn a compliment, but I’ve noticed that that’s more of a rare quality. Most perfumes I own don’t last super long, and if I ask anyone around me if they can smell what I’m wearing, the answer is usually no. But with this one, I definitely got a few questions about it as soon as I walked up. It also has great longevity. I’d say this one lasted a good six to eight hours on the skin—I could still smell it pretty strongly after returning home.
Overall, if you’re a fan of Lopez’s other perfumes, I think you’ll love this one since it feels very on brand for her. It definitely makes a great date-night fragrance or can be worn on a night out—it’s versatile like that.

The first thing I love about J.Lo perfumes is that they’re so inexpensive. Most of my fragrances cost well over $100, so it’s refreshing when you find a great one for less than $20. This fragrance is citrusy, floral, and sweet—my favorite qualities in a fragrance. I go positively feral for notes of pineapple because they remind me of a beach vacation, and topped with other notes of coconut, orchid, and sorbet, this perfume is a gourmand lover’s dream.

Glow Eau de Toilette
Key notes: Italian Bergamot, dewy pear, lychee, magnolia petals, pink peony, violet leaf, sheer musk, white amber crystals, sandalwood
Glow is really fresh, clean, and airy. The top notes of pear and lychee give it a really summery vibe, and I love that. It was one of the first perfumes I fell in love with from Lopez, and it’s still a favorite today.

Promise Eau de Parfum
Key notes: Italian tangerine, pink berries, Nashi pear, orris, jasmine sambac, honeysuckle, crystallized amber, creamy sandalwood, cashmere wood
Promise is more of a floral, woody scent, but it still has a hint of the trademark J.Lo sweetness that we’ve all come to love.

Key Notes: Dewberries accord, magnolia accord, patchouli essence
This perfume is just so pretty on the skin. Any time I wear it, I can’t stop sniffing my wrist. It smells really fresh and strongly of berries if you like a fruitier scent.
Key notes: Croissant accord, vanilla, blackcurrant, Sandalwood, tonka bean, rose jam
Honestly, this perfume was such a dark horse for me. I didn’t expect to love it as much as I did, but here we are! It definitely smells buttery and delicious upon first spritz, but the dry-down is also so nice. That’s when the notes of blackcurrant and vanilla really shine through.
